Are the Sites You're Browsing Safe?

It stands to reason that Google, in the process of indexing every website in the world, could also discover whether websites harbor malicious code or ISP's host malicious sites.  There is just such a facility, but you have to know how to get there.

This URL:

http://google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=badjuju.com 

brings up a report summarizing any known malicious software which google has uncovered on the named site in the past 90 days.

 Next step:  write a browser plugin that checks this site and alerts you if you are visiting a known malware site

As F3 Technology Partners' Technical Account Manager, Steve Putre is focused on professional services delivery and support.

With nearly twenty years of experience as a customer-facing systems engineer, Steve has a unique blend of presales and postsales skills. He combines solutions design and hands-on experience with first-rate listening, presentation, and problem-solving skills to design and deliver Unix technology solutions.

Prior to joining F3, Steve was employed by Sun Microsystems for nine years. In six years with Sun's Professional Services Group, he provided Unix design and implementation services at several New York City-area financial companies. This was followed by three years as a frontline technical sales specialist for the Connecticut territory. Prior to Sun, he was employed for several years as a systems administrator at JPMorgan in New York City.

Steve's primary focus areas are in systems design, IT solutions delivery, and systems administration.  He has hands-on experience with the following technologies:

- Solaris Operating Environment,

- Solaris Containers, ZFS, Logical Domains,

- Automated OS provisioning using Jumpstart, Kickstart, JET, XVM Ops Center,
